  • 18 Weeks paid Parental Leave for primary caregivers

About the role:

The Digital Innovation team is currently seeking a Specialist ERP Architect to join them on a Monday-Friday Roster based at our West Perth office. Reporting to the Manager SAP, you will be responsible for providing expert SAP ERP architecture leadership, shaping practical solutions and testing each business problem to confirm whether SAP is the most appropriate outcome, and brings the right AI capability (SAP-native, third-party or in-house) to each opportunity.

This position will work closely with the Architecture team, AI Domain Leads, the Data Platform Manager, the AI & Data Science team, system integrators and business units to evolve an ERP roadmap that is intelligent, well-integrated and data-rich. A core focus is enabling the business to use ERP data confidently.

Duties:

  • Lead ERP solution design, selection and quality oversight across the SAP landscape, ensuring solutions align with business outcomes, user experience, adoption, and HIO technology roadmaps.
  • Evaluate proposed ERP solutions to determine when SAP is the right fit, and recommend alternatives such as best-of-breed platforms, integrations, in-house builds or third-party AI where they deliver better value.
  • Partner with Architecture, AI, Data, Integration, business and technology teams to design and deliver fit-for-purpose ERP solutions that are scalable, well-governed and embedded into day-to-day operations.
  • Provide architectural expertise and guidance to operational and technology project teams, supporting design, build, testing, change enablement, adoption and continuous improvement activities.
  • Identify and assess high-value AI and intelligent automation opportunities across ERP-supported processes, including finance, supply, maintenance, procurement and HR.
  • Champion responsible and effective AI use within the ERP environment, ensuring solutions consider data quality, transparency, human oversight, value, fit and total cost of ownership.
  • Design and govern ERP data flows, master data, transactional data and analytical views across SAP and downstream platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Databricks.
  • Enable business teams to access and use ERP data through Fiori, Joule, embedded analytics, Power BI and other self-service tools, reducing reliance on SAP power users.
  • Engage business stakeholders, vendors, SAP service providers and delivery partners to define requirements, resolve issues, manage performance, and ensure ERP standards, data products and AI capabilities are understood and adopted

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in the design, operation and solutions architecture of the SAP S/4 HANA ERP Platform for a large scale business
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP integration concepts with S/4 HANA, such as BTP, BAPIs/IDocs, CDS Views etc.
  • Practical experience applying AI, intelligent automation or generative AI to ERP-supported business processes (SAP Joule, Business AI, copilots, agentic workflows or equivalent)
  • ITSM and ITIL framework experience in the context of deploying process and system change in large organisations
