About the role: 

The Mechanical Maintenance team is currently seeking a Supervisor Mechanical Maintenance to join them on a 14/14 days and nights roster based at Roy Hill Mine. Reporting to the Superintendent Mechanical Maintenance, you will be responsible for leading and managing the mechanical maintenance team and activities to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our fixed plant equipment. 

 
Duties: 

 
  • Ensure that maintenance activities are completed as per the weekly planned maintenance schedules and breakdowns as required 
  • Ensure processes and systems are developed to ensure assets are managed and maintained within their budgets 
  • Lead the optimal resourcing of your section and ensure that the simplification/implementation of systems and processes are core priorities to enable effectiveness and efficiency including development of team 
  • Collaborate with operational teams and contribute to the development and input into the department’s maintenance management plans 
  • Driving personal and team safety and ensuring compliance with all company, legislative and statutory regulations regarding safety and the environment 

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in an engineering or similar technical field; or, an appropriate trade qualification with a demonstrated combination of training and experience 
  • Statutory Supervisor (Schedule 26) qualification.  
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role 
  • Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment and maintenance practices 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience with SAP or similar Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
