About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR leader to join our team as Superintendent HR on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Manager HR, you will lead the Human Resources function across our Mining and Processing operations at the Roy Hill Mine. As a trusted advisor to operational leaders and a leader of our site-based HR team, you will play a key role in delivering people strategies that support our workforce and contribute to business success.

As a member of the HR leadership team, you will help foster an inclusive workplace where people feel safe, valued and supported to do their best work. You will contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and high performance while supporting our priorities across safety, cost, production, and licence to operate.


Duties
:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team of site-based HR Advisors.
  • Providing expert advice across employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, workforce planning and organisational change.
  • Using people data and insights to identify trends, inform decisions and support continuous improvement.
  • Supporting leadership capability through coaching, succession planning and employee development initiatives.
  • Building trusted relationships across the business and promoting the consistent application of HR policies, practices and frameworks.
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of HR service delivery and fostering an inclusive, collaborative team culture.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Commerce, or a related discipline, with significant HR experience in mining, engineering, construction, or another heavy industry environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing HR teams, while partnering with senior leaders to deliver strategic people outcomes.
  • Strong employee and industrial relations expertise, with sound knowledge of employment legislation and experience across performance, workforce planning, organisational change, and succession planning.
  • Highly developed communication, relationship-building, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to use people insights to inform decision-making.
  • A collaborative and inclusive leadership style, with FIFO or site-based HR experience highly regarded.
