About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Water Projects Engineer to join our Mining team at the Roy Hill Mine on a 4:3 FIFO roster from Perth.

Reporting to the Superintendent Water Projects, you will play a key role in delivering multidisciplinary projects that support operational dewatering and long-term water infrastructure across site. Working closely with operations, planning, engineering, commercial, environmental and vendor stakeholders, you will help drive safe, efficient and sustainable project outcomes.

This is a hands-on site-based role offering variety, autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects in a supportive and team-oriented environment.


Duties:

  • Coordinate and deliver water and civil infrastructure projects from concept through to handover
  • Support operational dewatering and long-term water infrastructure delivery across site
  • Manage project planning, scheduling, reporting, forecasting and cost control activities
  • Provide technical engineering support to field operations, leadership teams and contractors
  • Facilitate project meetings, design reviews, inspections and quality assurance activities
  • Manage vendor engagement, SAP notifications, defect resolution and project documentation

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Current Australian manual C-Class driver’s licence
  • Experience in water distribution and civil infrastructure construction
  • Experience in mining operations, project delivery and contractor management
  • Strong knowledge of water systems, hydraulics, pumping systems, pipelines and civil earthworks
  • Proven capability in project planning, scheduling, budgeting and cost management
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
  • Experience with SAP and project scheduling tools will be highly regarded
  • Exposure to iron ore, Pilbara operations, mine dewatering or water delivery systems is advantageous
