About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst - Technology Operations Centre (TOC) to join our Technology Operations team on an 8/6 Roster based in Perth.
Reporting to the Supervisor Technology Operations Centre, this role is a key escalation and coordination point for Operational Technology incidents across production-critical technology services. The role supports safe, reliable and responsive operations by accelerating issue resolution, reducing Mean Time to Restore, improving service availability and supporting operational continuity across Hancock Iron Ore sites.
The TOC Analyst monitors, triages, escalates and coordinates expedited incident response across OT and supporting systems, including LTE, AHS, Auto Drills, Rail Communications, Digital Radio Systems, Process Control and other production-critical platforms. The role requires strong operational discipline, clear communication, sound judgement and the ability to work effectively with control room teams, site personnel, technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders.
This position also supports Major Incident Management, problem and change processes, continuous service improvement, and provides interim coverage for 24x7 TOC Analysts during planned and unplanned absences to ensure seamless operational coverage.
Duties:
- Monitor production-critical OT services, alarms, dashboards, telemetry and events to maintain situational awareness across the operational technology environment
- Triage, prioritise, respond to and escalate IT/OT incidents in line with procedures, playbooks and Technology governance, including Major Incident Management pathways for production-impacting or high-risk events
- Assess operational impact, urgency and risk, including potential effects on safety, production, control room operations, autonomous systems, rail, processing and field teams
- Coordinate incident response across control room teams, site personnel, technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders to support timely and safe service restoration
- Maintain accurate incident records in the ITSM toolset, including actions, timelines, decisions, communications, validation evidence, handover notes and outcomes
- Identify repeat faults, monitoring gaps and improvement opportunities to support problem management, change stability, reduced MTTR, improved service reliability and continuous improvement
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting mining operations, Operational Technology or production-critical systems in a complex operational environment
- Experience in 24x7, control room, remote operations, high-availability or safety-critical environments, with the ability to respond effectively to operational disruptions
- Strong capability in high-priority incident response, including triage, impact assessment, escalation, coordination, stakeholder communication and safe service restoration
- Working awareness of OT systems and technologies such as LTE, AHS, Auto Drills, TETRA, Rail Communications, process control and industrial communications networks
- Sound understanding of ITIL incident, problem and change practices, with experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow highly desirable
