About the role:

We are currently seeking a Specialist Facilities Management to join us on a Monday to Friday roster based at our new West Perth Office with travel to our Perth Airport based facilities as required. Reporting to the Manager Facilities Management, you will be responsible for ensuring our corporate facilities are safe, well-maintained, compliant and operating efficiently.

 

A key focus will be the supervision and coordination of contractors, maintenance crews and service providers to deliver high-quality building services, planned and reactive maintenance, and safe work outcomes.

 

The successful candidate will have a background in building services, facilities maintenance or commercial property operations with experience supervising maintenance contractor performance and ensuring contractor safety.


Duties:

  • Coordinating and supervising contractors, maintenance crews and service providers across multiple Perth-based facilities
  • Ensuring contractors are appropriately inducted, compliant and performing work safely in line with HIO standards
  • Monitoring building performance, presentation and reliability, and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting contractor safety management, including risk assessments, safe work documentation, hazard reporting and incident follow-up
  • Managing maintenance requests, work orders and contractor activities
  • Coordinating statutory inspections, testing and compliance requirements for building assets and services
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, tenants, contractors and service providers to deliver a high standard of customer service
  • Supporting budget control, invoice review and cost-effective delivery of facilities services
  • Assisting with office moves, fit-outs, refurbishments, space planning and building improvement works
  • Maintaining strong records, reporting and maintenance data to support effective facilities management

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience managing facilities management within large commercial buildings, corporate offices, airports, campuses or similar environments
  • Demonstrated experience supervising contractors and maintenance crews with an understanding of contractor safety, compliance, risk management and safe systems of work
  • Electrical Trade qualification highly desirable
  • Technical knowledge of commercial building services, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire, security and access control systems
  • Facilities Management systems MEX and Rapid Global is highly desirable
  • Manual C Class Australian Driver’s Licence
