About the role

We are seeking an Asset Management Systems Specialist to play a key role in optimising the systems, processes and standards that support asset management and work management across Hancock Iron Ore. Working closely with operational, maintenance, technology and engineering stakeholders, you'll drive system performance, governance, process improvement and user capability across the business.

Reporting to the Principal Asset Management Systems, you will be the subject matter expert for our asset management systems, ensuring they remain fit-for-purpose, effectively governed and aligned to operational requirements. You'll work across multiple disciplines to optimise processes, improve data quality and deliver system enhancements that support better decision-making and asset performance.

This is an opportunity for an experienced SAP PM and Asset Management professional to influence how work is planned, executed and reported while supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability, efficiency and business performance.

 

Duties:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for asset management systems, providing guidance, support and troubleshooting assistance to users across the business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements that streamline asset management and work management workflows
  • Maintain and enhance asset management and work management standards, procedures and governance frameworks to support consistent ways of working
  • Ensure effective tools, reporting and routines are in place to measure, track and communicate asset management performance across Hancock Iron Ore
  • Steward asset management master data, ensuring accuracy, integrity and compliance with established standards
  • Partner with Technology teams and external vendors to support system upgrades, integrations and ongoing maintenance activities
  • Coach and support stakeholders to improve system capability, adoption and utilisation while promoting best-practice asset management processes

 

Skills and experience

  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise Asset Management or Maintenance Management systems, preferably SAP PM
  • Knowledge of Asset Management and Work Management principles, governance requirements and best-practice processes
  • Experience identifying and implementing process or system improvements that enhance business performance
  • Experience interpreting operational data and translate insights into meaningful reporting and recommendations
  • Exposure to reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Databricks, Azure or similar technologies will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively across operational, maintenance, engineering and technology stakeholder groups
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Maintenance, Information Technology, Business or a related discipline
