About the role:

The Mechanical Maintenance team is currently seeking a Specialist Fixed Plant Maintenance to join them on a 4/3 days only roster based at Roy Hill Mine. Bring your expertise to our Mine Processing Fixed Plant facilities, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and optimising equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You’ll be instrumental in minimising downtime and boosting productivity, supporting both long-term and medium-term planning objectives.

 

Reporting to the Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance,you’ll provide specialised support across maintenance execution, planning, and scheduling, as well as develop technical documentation for first-time or infrequent maintenance tasks. Using data-driven insights, you’ll lead and drive continuous improvements to our maintenance processes. You’ll also coach and mentor leaders and team members within the Fixed Plant Maintenance teams, helping to build capability and foster a culture of excellence.

 

 


Duties:

  • Drive continuous improvement by monitoring, reporting, and working with leaders to enhance systems and processes for better departmental outcomes
  • Standardise and optimise work management across Fixed Plant Maintenance teams, using performance KPIs and OEE data to recommend and implement process improvements
  • Provide expert guidance and troubleshooting to supervisors and team members, supporting critical maintenance issues and facilitating engagement with subject matter experts
  • Support team development and communication by identifying training needs, upskilling personnel, and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Sound understanding of fixed plant equipment maintenance strategies and maintenance methodologies
  • Prior experience in ore processing equipment operation and maintenance, and experience in a Fixed Plant Maintenance supervisory or leadership role
  • Knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act and Regulations
  • Exposure to maintenance philosophies such as Reliability Centred Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, and Root Cause Analysis
