About the role:

The Non-Processing Infrastructure Utilities team is responsible for delivering both fuel and potable water across the entire mine site. We are currently seeking an Operator Heavy Vehicle to join the team.

Reporting to the Supervisor Utilities, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of fuel using road trains and service trucks, as well as potable water deliveries. All work must be completed in accordance with site procedures, instructions and safety requirements.

You will work in a collaborative team environment to support critical services that keep the mining operation running every day.

 

Duties:

  • Inspect work areas to identify and correct damage, defects, hazards and access issues
  • Identify critical risks in the field and implement appropriate controls
  • Complete weekly inspections of fuel facilities and associated plant
  • Conduct daily checks of fuel tank levels and report readings accurately
  • Operate multi-combination road train fuel tankers, rigid service trucks, potable water trucks, and the water cart
  • Capable of collaborating within a team while also performing tasks autonomously in remote locations
  • Prioritise and schedule deliveries using SCADA data for genset fuel levels
  • Estimate time and materials required to complete planned tasks
  • Manually capture daily fuel delivery data in the fuel management system

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience operating a Fuel Road train and delivering to a Mine Site
  • Operating a rigid service trucks in an open pit mining environment
  • Western Australian MC driver licence (required)
  • High Risk forklift licence (desirable)
  • Dangerous Goods and Safe Load Program (SLP) (desirable)
