About the role:
The Non-Processing Infrastructure Utilities team is currently seeking an Operator Heavy Vehicle to join the team on a 7/7 days only FIFO roster to the Roy Hill Mine site.

 

Reporting to the Supervisor Infrastructure Utilities, you will be responsible for fuelling and minor maintenance of dewatering bores and pumping equipment in accordance with site procedures and instructions, as well as supporting the delivery of potable water. 

 

Work effectively in a team environment to support and contribute to delivering critical potable water and fuel services to the mining operation.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct inspections of work areas to identify damage, defects, hazards, and access limitations. 
  • Perform daily fuel tank level monitoring and record readings, along with weekly and monthly inspections of fuel facilities and plant assets. 
  • Operate rigid service trucks and rigid potable water trucks safely and efficiently. 
  • Drive and operate equipment within an active Autonomous Mining System (AHS) pit environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  •  Prioritise and schedule daily fuel deliveries using SCADA data to maintain genset fuel levels. 
  • Estimate labour, time, and materials required for planned work activities. 
  • Manually capture daily fuel delivery information into the fuel management system with accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment to meet operational requirements.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience operating rigid service trucks in an open pit mine site environment and transport industries.
  • Western Australian HR driver licence required.
  • High Risk forklift licence.
  • Multi combination road train fuel tankers – desired.
  • Dangerous Goods and Safe Load Program (SLP) – desired
