Hancock Iron Ore is seeking Expressions of Interest for Auxiliary Diesel Fitters to join our Mobile Maintenance Auxiliary team.

Reporting to the Supervisor Mobile Maintenance, you will be responsible for inspections, servicing, repairs, and maintenance of a variety of heavy road transport and ancillary equipment, including:
- Heavy Road Transport – Isuzu, Scania, MAN, and Tatra trucks
- Passenger Transport – BCI coaches
- Ancillary Equipment – Hitachi excavators (up to 25 TON), Volvo and CAT IT loaders, Franna cranes, forklifts, tyre handlers, JLG EWPs, and skid steer loaders
- Light Vehicles & Support Equipment – Toyota 4WDs, buses, light towers, and small ancillary equipment
Duties:
- Conduct thorough inspections, servicing, and repairs to maintain equipment reliability
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as directed
- Apply technical expertise to ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
Skills and experience:
- Australian-recognised Diesel Fitter/Mobile Plant Mechanic trade certificate required
- Current manual C class driver’s licence required
- Forklift, EWP, Crane, Dogging and Basic Rigging licences required
- Proven background working on road trains and ancillary equipment in a mining environment
