Reporting to the Supervisor Mobile Maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems on a range of mobile equipment. Our workshop is divided into three specialised areas, allowing you to apply your skills where they’re needed most:
Excavators, Drills & Dozers:
- Excavators: Hitachi (EX8000/ EX5600/ EX3600), Liebherr (9400/9600/9800)
- Drills: Atlas Copco (PV271)
- Dozers: Caterpillar (D10T, D10T2, D11, D11T)
Hauling & Ancillary:
- Haul Trucks: Hitachi (EH4000 & EH5000), CAT (777 & 793F)
- Loaders: CAT (994, 992, 854)
- Water Carts: CAT (785 & 777)
- Graders: CAT (24M, 18M & 16M)
Auxiliary Maintenance:
- Light Vehicles & Support Equipment – Toyota 4WDs, buses, light towers, and small ancillary equipment
- Heavy Road Transport – Isuzu, Scania, MAN, and Tatra trucks
- Ancillary Equipment – Forklifts, Franna cranes, JLG EWPs, tyre handlers, and skid steer loaders
Duties:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in mobile equipment
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to optimise equipment performance
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures
Skills and experience:
- Australian recognised Auto Electrical Trade Certificate required
- Cert II in Automotive Mechanical Air Conditioning required
- Current WA manual C class driver’s licence required
- Forklift, EWP, Crane, Dogging and Basic Rigging licences required
- Previous experience in a mining or heavy industry environment
