About the role:
Our Asset Management team is currently seeking an Engineer Project Mechanical to join them on a Monday to Thursday Roster based at Port Hedland. This is a short-term contracting opportunity for 7 months with the potential to extend.
Reporting to the Superintendent Engineering Projects - Port, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the design, development, and implementation of minor capital projects within Hancock Iron Ore.
Duties:
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Liaise with consultants and teams to meet deliverables and integrate new assets into brownfields plants
- Perform calculations and analysis to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient installations
- Manage installation and construction works to maintain high delivery standards
- Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports for execution and handover
- Attend meetings and provide progress updates on engineering tasks
Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred
- Experience delivering multiple minor capital projects in a Fixed Plant Processing environment
- Experience working within Operational, Shutdown and Brownfields Environments essential
- Understanding of additional disciplines will be advantageous
- Project or Construction Management qualifications will be highly regarded
- Proficient in modern software applications
- Current manual C-class driver’s license
