About the role:

The Asset Engineering team is currently seeking a Specialist Asset - Rebuild Project to join them on a Monday-Friday Roster based at Perth for a 3 year Maximum Term Project. Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Engineering, you will be responsible for Coordinating and overseeing the demobilisation and re-commissioning of 24 Hitachi EH5000 and 24 Caterpillar 793F dump trucks over a three-year period, ensuring safe, efficient, cost effective, and timely delivery of all project milestones in line with operational and maintenance requirements.

 

Duties:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end demobilisation and re-commissioning process for the mobile fleet, ensuring compliance with site safety and operational standards.
  • Conduct and coordinate pre shut inspections of trucks 8 weeks prior to demobilisation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct and coordinate post-wash weed and seed inspections of trucks prior to demobilisation.
  • Act as the primary interface between operations, site maintenance, crane contractors, tyre fitters, and vendors to ensure trucks are delivered on time for maintenance and rebuilds.
  • Oversee and support the vendor responsible for offsite rebuilds, including scheduling, logistics, and quality assurance through vendor visits and onsite audits.
  • Manage the commissioning process, mirroring demobilisation tasks, ensuring all components are reinstalled, systems are tested, and trucks are returned to service-ready condition.
  • Ensure all project activities are tracked, reported, and delivered within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Monthly budget forecasting and reporting.
  • Provide weekly project Gantt updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • HME Trade or Engineering background with experience in OEM vendor Stakeholder Management
  • Strong understanding of mobile fleet maintenance, demobilisation, and commissioning processes
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, maintaining, and taking ownership of budgets and financial forecasts
  • Advanced SAP and Excel
  • Experience managing large-scale mobile fleet projects
  • S26 qualification
