The role provides strategic and operational leadership across HIO’s data and integration platforms ensuring data is ingested, connected, structured, governed, and catalogued consistently across the business, and that enterprise data products are designed and managed for reuse.

Duties:

  • Ensure all data assets within their platforms apply the correct information classifications, access controls, and restricted data protections, in alignment with governance frameworks owned by Cyber and EA.
  • Establish and maintain integration standards for SaaS, on prem, and cloud to cloud data flows.
  • Uplift data literacy and reporting maturity, ensuring business users have trusted, well defined data sources managed through formal change control.
  • Drive enterprise uplift in data ontology, semantic consistency, and metadata capture, enabling clearer understanding and reuse of data assets.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience operating and supporting enterprise data platforms and integration technologies
  • Proven experience managing teams responsible for data ingestion, integration, reporting, platform operations, or data engineering
  • Experience implementing or applying data standards including data mappings, ontology, metadata, and data catalogue practices
  • Extensive understanding of data security practices, including access controls, restricted data handling, and alignment with cyber and governance requirements
