About the role:

The Information Management team is currently seeking an Analyst Information Management to join them on a Monday-Friday Roster based at Perth. Reporting to the Principal Information Management, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery and uplift of the organisation’s Information Management (IM) framework by identifying, analysing, and translating business information requirements into structured, governed, and system-ready solutions.

 

Working closely with the Specialist – Information Management, this role focuses on understanding how the business creates, stores, and uses data and documentation, and ensuring that information is correctly classified, mapped, and transferred into the management system in accordance with governance, lifecycle, and operational requirements.

 

The role plays a key part in enabling visibility, transparency, and data-driven decision making by supporting process mapping, information modelling, and the design of real-time reporting and analytics (including Power BI) that surface workflow status, compliance, and information health across the organisation.


Duties:

  • Assess current-state information holdings and identify gaps, duplication, risks, and improvement opportunities in current information practices
  • Collate and document information requirements, classifications, metadata, and ownership
  • Develop end-to-end process maps for Information Management, covering creation, use, storage, retention, and disposal
  • Support the documentation and continuous improvement of the Information Management framework and associated workflows
  • Translate business processes and information flows into functional specifications to support configuration by the Specialist
  • Validate data accuracy, integrity, and usability in reporting outputs
  • Act as a key liaison between the business, Information Management, and technology stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs to validate requirements and proposed solutions
  • Ensure information requirements and solutions align with Information Management policies, standards, and governance frameworks
  • Support compliance with relevant ISO standards and internal controls

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, Information Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Training or certifications in business analysis, records/information management, or Microsoft 365 fundamentals
  • Experience working in a similar business analysis, information management, records management, or digital workplace role
  • Exposure to ISO standards related to Information Management (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 9001) highly desirable.
  • Experience mapping business processes and information flows end to end
  • Exposure to data analysis, reporting, or dashboard development (e.g., Power BI)
