Accountant Treasury & Sales
  • Monday to Friday – Perth Airport Location and Moving to West Perth
  • Company contribution to private health insurance
  • Support finance activities within the Treasury and Sales functions
  • Maximum Term Contract through till March 2027

 

About the role

An opportunity exists for an Accountant Treasury and Sales to join the Corporate Finance team in Perth. Reporting to the Lead Treasury and Sales, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and supporting all finance activities within the treasury and sales functions. This position involves contributing to treasury transactions, such as loan administration, foreign exchange, and investment transactions. Additionally, the role includes managing sales transactions, which encompass invoice to cash collection processes, month-end procedures, reconciliations, and reporting.

 

Duties

  • Ensure accurate recording of Treasury and Sales transactions in SAP according to IFRS standards and timely month-end closures
  • Maintain accuracy in month-end accruals, revenue, FX revaluations, and other financial summaries
  • Obtain necessary approvals for bank transfers and Treasury transactions, including investments and foreign exchanges
  • Review daily bank reconciliations for AUD, USD, and CNY accounts
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Finance teams, and HPPL Treasury to ensure smooth information flow for Treasury and Sales transactions
  • Oversee invoicing to cash collection processes, ensure compliance with credit policies, and assist with Treasury and Sales analytics and ad hoc requests

 

Skills and experience

  • University degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Commerce with CA/ CPA qualifications
  • Knowledge of current Australian statutory and regulatory requirements including IFRS and tax
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards in practice
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
