About the Role

Hancock Iron Ore is seeking a skilled and motivated Dewatering Operator to join our high-performing Water team.

In this hands-on position, you will play a vital role in managing water across our mining operations, ensuring both operational efficiency and environmental compliance. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team within a leading mining company committed to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain polyethylene piping and fittings (in-pit and ex-pit)
  • Operate and monitor bore fields
  • Perform pipeline isolation and repairs
  • Remove and reinstate water infrastructure as required
  • Dewater active and planned mining pits
  • Supply the process plant with the required water quality and volume
  • Manage disposal of excess water via injection bore fields and dust suppression systems
  • Operate and maintain water infrastructure in line with Roy Hill’s licensing and compliance obligations

Required Experience and Licences

  • Previous experience in dewatering or mining operations
  • Manual C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence
  • Experience operating IT Loaders and performing Dogman duties (highly regarded)
  • Poly welding and extrusion welding experience (highly regarded)
