About the role:

The Technology Operations team is currently seeking an Officer Service Desk to join them on a Monday-Friday Roster based at Perth. Reporting to the Superintendent Technology Operations, you will be responsible for providing proactive, customer‑focused support across all End User Computing (EUC) services. The position delivers first‑line and on‑site technical assistance for employees, contractors and vendors, resolving incidents, service requests, and technical issues while maintaining stable, secure, and effective EUC systems.

The role ensures high availability and usability of end‑user equipment, supports a wide range of hardware and software platforms, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across the Technology function.


Duties:

  • Provide first‑line technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, monitors, printers, and telephony
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software within the approved standard operating environment
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, problems and changes via phone, email and walk‑ups
  • Prioritise, triage and escalate issues as required to meet service levels
  • Perform hands‑on troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades of hardware and applications
  • Assist corporate events team with meeting room event management, triaging and troubleshooting basic issues with video conferencing equipment and event support
  • Resolve basic networking issues (Wi‑Fi, cabling, VPN, connectivity)
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of IT hardware for Perth offices through Operational Expenditure management and assist Site Technology teams with stock purchasing and ordering

Skills and Experience:

  • Certificate III in IT or tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
  • Previous experience in IT Service Desk or Desktop Support roles
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Experience using remote support tools and ITSM systems
  • Strong Windows 10/11 knowledge
  • Experience with Active Directory, Exchange / O365, Teams
