About the role:

The Asset Management team is currently seeking a Superintendent Reliability Engineering, to join them on a 4:3 FIFO Roster based at the Roy Hill Mine. Reporting to the Manager Asset Management Processing & Port, you will be responsible for leading the reliability engineering function for fixed plant assets. The role ensures the safe, reliable, and cost-effective performance of assets through the delivery of defect elimination, maintenance strategy optimisation, and reliability improvement programs.


Duties:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Reliability Engineering team to build technical capability and succession depth
  • Accountable for the execution of the Defect Elimination process for fixed plant assets, ensuring timely identification, investigation, and resolution of defects.  
  • Regularly review Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and ensure targets are met by identifying and closing gaps
  • Assist with the review and prioritisation of works based on value and risk profile
  • Ensure compliance with the Asset Management Engineering Framework, Reliability Engineering Ways of Working, and relevant standards/procedures Optimising maintenance plans and component strategies for fixed plant assets
  • Foster collaboration between Reliability Engineering, EEG, Maintenance Execution, Planning, Commercial, Supply, and Operations teams.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an engineering or similar technical field or an appropriate trade qualification with a demonstrated combination of training and experience
  • Proven leadership of engineering teams delivering measurable reliability improvements
  • Demonstrated success in defect elimination, maintenance strategy optimisation, and condition monitoring program management.
  • Experience in either Engineering or Maintenance Execution (within the mining industry)
  • Significant Fixed Plant asset management experience
