About the role:

The Water team is seeking a Dewatering Operator to join the Roy Hill Mine site on a job share roster of 7 days on, 21 days off.

Reporting to the Supervisor Water, you will be responsible for supporting dewatering activities across active and planned mining pits. The role focuses on operating and maintaining water infrastructure to ensure the appropriate quality and quantity of water is supplied to the Process Plant, while safely managing excess water disposal in accordance with Roy Hill licensing and compliance requirements.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help ensure reliable water management to support safe and efficient mining operations.


Duties:

  • Install and maintain polyethylene piping and fittings both in‑pit and ex‑pit
  • Operate and monitor bore fields and associated water infrastructure
  • Perform pipeline isolations, maintenance and repairs
  • Remove, relocate and reinstate water infrastructure as mining activities progress
  • Dewater active and planned mining pits
  • Supply the Process Plant with the required water quality and volume
  • Manage excess water disposal through injection bore fields and dust suppression systems
  • Operate and maintain water infrastructure in line with Roy Hill licensing and compliance obligations


Skills and Experience:

Required

  • Previous experience in dewatering, water management or mining operations
  • Current WA Manual C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence

Desirable

  • Experience operating IT loaders
  • Dogman ticket and experience performing dogman duties
  • Poly welding and extrusion welding experience
