Hancock Iron Ore is offering an exciting opportunity for a Surveying student to join our Spatial Solutions and Services team as a Summer Intern. Under the guidance of experienced Surveyors, you’ll be supported to build practical skills, understand how surveying contributes to safe and efficient mining operations, and gain exposure to life on a large‑scale iron ore site in the Pilbara.

Program eligibility

  • Current enrolment in a TAFE or university qualification in Surveying, Spatial Sciences, Geomatics or a related discipline
  • A genuine interest in surveying within a mining or heavy industry environment
  • Willingness to undertake field-based work in a remote, operational site environment
  • Must be able to complete the program on a FIFO roster
