About the role:

The Production team is currently seeking a Production Coordinator to join them on 7 days on, 7 nights on, 14 Days off roster based at Roy Hill Mine. This role reports to the Production Supervisor. The Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe coordination of production activities to meet operational targets. This role involves liaising with various teams to optimize production processes, manage resources, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.


Duties:

  • Coordinate daily production activities to meet operational targets and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Provide training and mentoring to team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and report on production performance, identifying areas for continuous improvement and aid in initiative implementation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet production demands.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.

 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications: 

Essential;

  • Demonstrated experience in a minerals processing plant or related industry.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficient computer skills across Microsoft applications
  • Practical problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with peers to find solutions.
  • Current C Class Manual Driving License

 

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in SAP, or a maintenance planning system.
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Mining, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in safety or production management.
  • Training in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
