About the role:
The NPI Maintenance team is currently seeking a Maintainer Electrical – NPI to join them. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor NPI, you will be responsible for testing & inspection of electrical equipment across all Contract Mining sites or as directed by supervision, also to provide preventative and reactive maintenance, assembly, installation and testing of all electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures, across all Contract Mining operational sites.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small team of NPI Maintainers that oversee the multiple Contract Mining sites based near Marble Bar in the Pilbara area.
Duties:
- Provide accurate technical advice to management in a timely manner.
- Assist with all aspects of maintenance across all Atlas sites as required.
- Ensure timely safe completion of work requests and other works scheduled by your supervisor.
- Participate in the weekly planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment to resources in the work schedule.
- Monitor personal performance against schedule and KPI’s.
- Manage contractor performance to the required standards and specifications for the work being completed.
- Conduct works and maintain performance to ensure that all work is completed to the correct standard.
- Creation and completion of MEX work orders to ensure end-to-end process compliance and history of asset works is recorded.
- Assess and recommend plant, tool, equipment, and material initiatives with a focus on cost effective solutions and operational improvements.
- Supervise contractors as required including but not limited to, Pre-starts, SWP’s, hazard reports, toolboxes.
- Perform other reasonable tasks and duties as directed by your Supervisor.
Skills and Experience:
- Trade Certificate in Electrical.
- Current WA Grade ‘A’ Electrical licence.
- 5 years’ minimum trade experience within the Mining Industry.
- Knowledge and experience in power generation infrastructure maintenance and operation.
- Trade Certificate in Instrumentation (desirable)
- Refrigeration Certification (desirable).
- Contractor licence (desirable).
- High Risk licences (basic rigging, crane licence, dogging, fork lift)
- Proven experience within remote mining environments.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations.
- Hold a current C or HR class drivers’ licence.
