About the role:
The Port Maintenance team is currently seeking a Coordinator Electrical to join them on a 14/14 Days and Nights roster based at Port Hedland. Reporting to the Supervisor Electrical Maintenance, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the electrical maintenance activities at the port, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and equipment.
Duties:
- Review and adjust the weekly draft schedule, monitor and report on schedule metrics, and manage week-end closeouts
- Oversee work management processes, approve and ensure the quality of notifications and work orders, and distribute daily work assignments
- Provide coaching on best practices, step up as Supervisor when required, and ensure adherence to safety standards
- Assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), identify and action improvements to the Work Management System, and update Preventive Maintenance Instructions (PMI)
- Monitor and manage accurate time confirmations, manage Master Data Management (MDM) and parts inventory, and conduct audits of completed works
Skills and Experience:
- Current WA Electrical Licence
- Current Drivers Licence
- HV Switching Certificate, HIO High Voltage Level 1 + 2 VOC is desirable
- Knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act and Regulation
- Knowledge of HIO’s Electrical Safety Management Plan
- Strong understanding of, and experience working within Port Operations Fixed Plant Equipment and Services
- Experience and the ability to coach High Quality Preventative and Reactive Maintenance on fixed plant electrical systems across HIO operations, including electrical infrastructure, power distribution systems, control systems, instrumentation, automation equipment, and all associated fixed plant machinery and supporting electrical assets.
- Manage weekly work, offsite repairs and shutdowns to ensure all repairs and inspections are carried out on time, safely and rigorously, resulting in high equipment reliability.
